The course is intended as a continuation of Photojournalism and is an extended study of the theory and practice of making photographs and using the picture essay and picture story. Development of basic skills introduced in Photojournalism to produce work of publishable standard. Advanced techniques including electronic fill-flash and studio lighting, will be covered, as will the history of documentary photojournalism. Emphasis will be on photographing news, feature and sports events, with the goal of completing a photojournalism portfolio.
