This is a foundation course with the aim to equip you (1st year students) with the required skills to communicate effectively in both academic and professional contexts. You will learn how to communicate to technical and non-technical audiences; how to use different writing techniques; how to write short reports; as well as how to make effective presentations in both academic and professional settings. Furthermore this foundation course will also prepare you for the more advanced Engineering Communication course that you will take in their year 3 or year 4 studies.

Mod teaches basic report writing and what to look out for writing a report. One thing to note the final presentation requires you to work in pairs. So choose your partner wisely!
