This course aims to provide a practical approach towards human resource management. The topics are condensed from various contemporary real-life examples and also co-relate to the theories of management. The topics include: The Art & Heart of Management; Managers’ Dilemma; Survivability; Heroism and humour; Management by communication; Motivation; Evolution of management; EQ and ethics.

I first took this module when I was in year 1 and it was actually the easiest module that I took in my 4 years in MSE. CAs were MCQs and there was a big group project at the end and it was 10 people per group so workload was really manageable and communication is the most important for this module.

The module is split into the following components: 3 Mini CAs (All MCQ and short answered), 1 essay component (Individual) about communication analysis of any company of your choice, and a group project (random). The professor is relatively new and started teaching the module in AY1819. Only available in SEM 1. Easy to score as large percentage is on the group project and the topics for the project are quite straightforward.
